A little bit about CLASS…

In the middle of October I went to a training class for Christian Leaders Authors, & Speakers called CLASSeminars. Here’s a little bit about CLASS directly from the CLASSeminars website; CLASSeminars was founded by Florence Littauer and has been around for 28 years and has trained over 30,000 speakers including Beth Moore, Patsy Clairmont, Lee Ezll, Liz Curtis Higgs, Jan Silvious, Rhonda Fleming, Becky Tirabassi, Jeanne Cagney, and many more.

I went to CLASS for the first time last year in Canton, GA and was completely blown away at the talent that sat in the room with me. Musicians, speakers, authors, Pastors, and more all sat in one place to learn to be the best they can be in Christ. It was three days long and to be quite honest there was so much information being thrown at me that it truly felt like I was trying to drink out of a fire hose.

I walked away from that training with a renewed confidence in the call on my life, but also with blessed friendships with some like minded people from all over the world.

Just a little over a month ago I had the opportunity to attend CLASS again when they came to Ft. Lauderdale. They were in my back yard and I had the privilege of being a part of the host team while they were here. It was great to be able to sit through the training again and really soak up from the CLASS staff and leadership.

If you are a Pastor, speaker, writer, musician or in ministry and want to develop your skills, then I would highly suggest that you check out all the CLASSeminars has to offer. Click here to go to the CLASSeminars website.

  1. I attended CLASS in June of 2000 in Maryland. I remember being in a small group of speakers. Georgia Shaffer was my group leader and I loved her. We had several exercises to do and one of them was that she threw down many folders papers and we had to randomly chose one. Whatever was written on the paper, we had to do an extemporaneous talk. What a great experience of thinking on your feet under pressure.

I also remember giving a talk that we had time to prepare and we were to be all dressed up. Then we were critiqued by the others. One of the women told me that she was distracted because she saw my panty line on my skirt. Talk about embarassing! Now I know why they use those t-backs; no lines but not the most comfortable. It’s wierd how that stands out.

I also remember Florence speaking of how she met George W. Bush. This was when he was running for President. She said how very animated and wonderful he was in person. I’m sure she voted for him but of course, she wasn’t endorsing anyone at CLASS.

I enjoyed remembering Melissa! How fortunate you were to have the conference in your backyard, so to speak. Maybe they will come to Phoenix?

    Love and hugs,
    Debbie
