My Thoughts About Once Upon a Prince:

If you like fairy tales and princes, princesses and a sweet little love story, then you are in the perfect place. Once Upon a Prince is an absolute gem. Sweet. Simple. Complicated. Romantic. As well as everything in between the story of Susanna Truitt and her perfectly laid plans for her life are much like most of us. We think we know what is best for us, map our a plan to make it all happen, then life happens and everything changes.

Walking through those changes with Susanna as she wrestles with the reality that life is never like you plan. Watching her fall in love with Nathaniel, a real life prince on holiday, not knowing who he was or why he was there, then watching both of them peel back the layers of their expectations…of life, of love, and of what’s next, well, it was nothing short of divinely perfect.

Yes, I know, I am a hopeless romantic, but there are few things that can make a Sunday afternoon better than being curled up on the couch with a hot cup of coffee and an incredibly good book…this was definitely one of those. Rachel Hauck is simply the best when it comes to a swept off your feet kinda romance book and she did not disappoint with this one. I also love that tucked along the journey there are so many wonderful nuggets of truth and wisdom about God’s grace, His purpose and His plan for each of us. This would also make a fantastic book club novel for a group of friends to talk about and enjoy together.

 About Once Upon A Prince:

The Royal Wedding Series Book One

Susanna Truitt never dreamed of a great romance or being treated like a princess—just to marry the man she has loved for twelve years. But life isn’t going according to plan. When her high-school-sweetheart-turned-Marine-officer breaks up instead of proposing, Susanna scrambles to rebuild her life.

The last thing Prince Nathaniel expects to find on his American holiday to St. Simon’s Island is the queen of his heart. A prince has duties, and his family’s tense political situation has chosen his bride for him. When Prince Nathaniel comes to Susanna’s aid under the fabled Lover’s Oak, he is blindsided by love.

Their lives are worlds apart. He’s a royal prince. She’s a ordinary girl. But everything changes when Susanna receives an invitation to Nathaniel’s coronation.

It’s the ultimate choice. His kingdom or her heart? God’s will or their own?
